When the government is giving everything to poor people from rich people's taxes this is bound to happen. See the life rich people have here vs in other countries. no government school or hospital that can be adjusted but quality of life in India is much worse. If a person wants to enjoy his or her life they can't. Early in the morning some religious places play loudspeakers, then you go out pollution, so much traffic, honking, and garbage everywhere just going from home to work is so stressful. then every day some celebration is happening on roads or residential areas and create noise and traffic. One can't go on a walk, no pavement, animals on roads, roadside shops are extended to roads, paan pichkari, no decent public infra, and transportation. open sweages, hanging electric wires, our capital has garbage mountains Everything is shit. Now that doesn't mean rich people should roam and don't care for anyone. and the government just ignores poor people. There should be a balance In Western countries, you may earn less and can't buy expensive things without a credit card but the quality of life, beautiful cities, nature, parks, traffic situation all those things are way better than us. Also, we Indians who are living in India are quick to say these people don't love India that is why they leave India but in reality those people contribute more to the Indian GDP than us. we are quick to say not Indian but celebrate when they send remittances to India and we common people get the benefits. Just see North American countries are poorer than India but infra and public sense of how to drive on roads, not to create noise population and not to sleep on railway stations, etc are much higher. take our cricket stadiums, we have to lock the people so they don't jump on the ground, no sense what color to put around the ground, what ads to show now see AUS,NZ,ENG cricket stadiums they are a marvel, clean, colors are also good, the ads pattern is also good and they use 4k cameras, the point is we are the richest cricket board but we neglect all these things. Even some African countries are better than us. Take President House, we still have Dirt Ground and when we receive international guests visuals look so poor. it doesn't look like you are standing in the 5th largest economy's president's palace. I know we don't have to make everything paved but there are some places which don't suit the weather. like in this heat Delhi is burning if you receive someone there you can see the heat in the air and it looks like you are standing in the world's poorest country. This dirt ground will look better in cooler places there will be no need to pave it. Because it suits the environment. Now people always get angry when I say this. But my pain is when I see other countries that look beautiful, they have put effort into this we just sit and say we don't need Western approval. It is not about that it is how you represent your country. I want my India to look good that is why I say the problems I see. All we need is people working on it. You can even see this in small details like whenever the government or military host an event just see the equipment they use like mic, table, screens, what they wear, how to show their products everything looks bad. Because they don't pay attention. forget about the West, see the Chinese, North Koreans, Philippines, and even Iran see their programs or receiving ceremonies or weapons showing everything looks premium. this layback attitude even works in the army, see how they wear their equipment someone will have a loose helmet or something else. Just watch military programs everything looks old, and junky but then see countries like Iran their programs look very modern and premium in the way their soldiers look and the equipment they have. even designing our weapons and vehicles for the military all have disgusting looks we say "Oh it doesn't matter how it looks, we are using these in war not fashion shows" but the same thing developed by some other countries looks good and will probably be more effective. I am not saying this to shame ourselves or feel down I want us to be better, not just say "oh chalta hai" "We don't need Western approval" or say "You have the colonial mindset". if something doesn't look good and someone points out it doesn't mean this is colonial mindset. It is all about creating a good image for India
